SULFUR BURNER

OR

WATER ACIDIFIER

The operation of the irrigation SRT Acidifier ® of Sistemas de Riego Thomas S.A. de C.V. produces acidic water which lowers water pH up to 4 points. Created with stainless steel, generating durability and protection.

The system is based on the burning of granulated sulfur that produces sulfur dioxide. This gas mixes with the water through the equipment's system, and a change of pH occurs. For example, from an initial pH of 8 at the inlet of water, to an outlet of the pH required for cultivation.

By using controlling measures such as constant measurements of the pH - water reservoir or water lines will carry your desired pH.

1

* by controlling the SRT acidifier ®,

you can lower the pH at high or low

rates, ultimately creating your desired pH

(i.e. from starting pH of 8.2 to 5.5)

MULTIPLE BENEFITS

After installing the SRT Acidifier ® you'll note:

  • Better quality of plants, fruits and/or vegetables.

  • Greater concentration of color & sugars.

  • Improved size y greater production levels.

  • Soil salts removal.

  • Improve the root system of the plant.

  • Kill algae that occur in the reservoir.

  • Expel carbonate inlay which causes dripper clogging.

ADVANTAGES

  • Lower water pH.

  • Reduce acidifying costs.

  • Eliminate risks of sulfuric acid handling.

  • Neutralizes bicarbonates.

  • Helps leach salts from soil profile.

  • Improves water penetration.

  • Releases MACRO and MICRO nutrients in limestone soils.

  • Savings in irrigation demand.

  • Slows down disease attacks in plants.

1. Lowering pH points highly depend on the location's unique water supply.

2. Observed changes in other locations, dependent on management techniques and unique location characteristics.
